Add a new Yealink phone model

When Yealink releases a model that isn't in Phonovo's list yet, you can add it yourself — no code change needed. Available to platform superadmins and support agents.

Steps

1. Go to SuperAdmin → Settings → Device Templates.
2. Click Add Template.
3. In Phone Model, choose + Add new model… and type the model code (for example T78W). Model codes look like T54W, CP965 or W60B.
4. Click Use this model. The template content auto-populates with Phonovo's base configuration plus defaults for that model's series (T7x, T5x, …). If the model belongs to a family Phonovo doesn't recognise, you get the base configuration only — review it before saving.
5. Adjust anything model-specific (line keys, display settings), then Save. Tick Set as default so provisioning uses it for that model.

Once saved, the new model is selectable everywhere — including the Add Device dialog on an extension's Devices tab — and phones of that model provision using your template.

Where the values come from

Templates contain placeholders like {{ntp_server}} and {{sip_port}}. These are filled at provisioning time from Settings → PBX Variables (Provision category), so you normally don't need to hardcode values in the template.
