Set up white-label branding (Brand Studio)¶
Give your customers a portal that looks and feels like yours — your name, your logo, your colours, and (optionally) your own domain.
Who this is for: partners
Before you start¶
- Access to your Phonovo partner portal with permission to manage branding.
- This feature is part of a plan add-on. If the page shows an upgrade message instead of the branding tools, ask Phonovo about adding custom branding to your plan.
- If you want a custom portal domain (e.g.
portal.yourcompany.com), you'll need access to your domain's DNS settings to add a CNAME record. - Some of the domain settings on this page may already be set from when you first set up your partner account — this page lets you review or change them at any time.
Steps¶
Brand assets¶
- In the sidebar, select Brand, then choose Brand Studio.
- Under Brand, enter a Display Name Override if you want customers to see a name other than your company's default name. Leave it blank to use your default company name.
- Under Logo & Images, add URLs for your Logo (200x50px, PNG or SVG), Favicon (32x32px, ICO or PNG), and Login Background (1920x1080px, JPG) if you want to replace the defaults.
- Watch the Customer portal preview panel update as you make changes — it shows what your customers will see.
Choosing your colours¶
- Under Color Scheme, pick one of the Quick Presets, or set your own Primary Color and Secondary Color using the colour pickers or by typing a hex value.
Connecting a custom portal domain¶
- Under Portal domain, enter the domain you want customers to use, e.g.
portal.yourcompany.com, in the Custom Portal Domain field. - Follow the DNS Setup instructions shown: add a CNAME record at your DNS provider pointing your chosen domain at the target hostname shown on the page. If you use Cloudflare, set the record to DNS-only — don't turn on the Cloudflare proxy for it.
- Select Check DNS to verify the record has propagated and that a certificate can be issued. You'll see separate status lines for DNS resolution and the SSL certificate — DNS can take up to 24 hours to propagate.
- Once DNS is resolving correctly, select Open portal to confirm your custom domain loads.

Choosing how customer subdomains are created¶
- Under Customer domains, choose your Customer Domain Strategy: Use System Domain gives each new customer an automatic subdomain (e.g.
{customer}.phonovo.io) with no setup needed, while Use My Own Domain puts new customers on subdomains of your own domain (e.g.{customer}.yourdomain.com). - If you choose your own domain, enter your Customer Base Domain. You can manage the DNS for each new customer manually, or provide your Cloudflare API Token and Zone ID under DNS automation so Phonovo can create the records automatically. Select Test Connection to confirm your Cloudflare credentials work before saving.
- Select Save Domain Configuration.
